I would like to hear from any descendants of this family or others
familiar with this family. In 1910 in Martins Ferry during a labor
strike, there was an altercation between Sol Edwards (my great uncle)
and an Emanuel Robinson resulting in the shooting death of Sol Edwards.
During the trial of Emanuel Robinson, his wife, "Anna", and daughter,
"Dora", testified. Charges against Emanuel Robinson were dropped.
Family lore is that at some point Emanuel Robinson was also shot, but
is this true and if so, was this a revenge shooting by one of Sol's
brothers? That's still a mystery to our Edwards descendants.
I would very much appreciate it if any Robinson descendants would
contact me and let me know what information has been passed down to
them.
If anyone else has information, I would also be interested in hearing
that.
Thanks so much.
Regards,
Nancy Edwards
