If he was said to have been born in Wheeling, VA, have you looked for him in
what is now the town of Wheeling, Ohio Co, WV, but that was VA before the
American Civil War?...Perhaps that is his place of birth, rather than
Wheeling township, Belmont Co, Ohio....they are more or less across the Ohio
River from eachother.
