I have the CENTENNIAL HISTORY OF BELMONT COUNTY, and I checked through each
township, and found NO Lutherans churches listed in early days...they all
seem to have been M.E, Presbyterian, Quaker, with a few Methodist and
Baptists thrown in...but, no Lutherans. Also, Belmont Co doesn't have a
Valley Twp....I think there are a couple....maybe in Guernsey and Scioto
Cos., but you'd have to check on that to be sure.

" I'm trying to find out if there were any Lutheran churches in Belmont
County during the period 1817 - 1820. Unfortunately, I don't have a city or
township to narrow the search down at this time (although it may possibly be
Valley Township)."
