Hi all; have not posted in a while, and with all this renewed activity in the MURRAY list thought someone might have found something new. Looking for a MURRY(MURRAY?) family, last known in SW Ohio, who married into our OWEN line.

MATILDA MURRY, mother of MARY JANE MURRY, b. 1853 in KY, d. 1921 in Cinn, OH. MATILDA gave permission for Mary Jane's marriage to WILLIAM DEMARIS in 12/1867, in Clermont Co, OH (MJ was under age we think only 14-15.) We think Matilda was a widow, as there is no mention of Mary Jane's father and in 1869 Matilda marries a LOTT MEEKER.

MARY JANE'S marriage app to William Demaris marriage is sworn to by S.H. Owen. MATILDA's is sworn by WILLIAM H. MURRY. MARY JANE marries ISAIAH OWEN in 1873 upon the death of Demaris.

There is obviously much interaction between the MURRY, DEMARIS, OWEN, MEEKER families in Clermont and Brown Counties.

Census records show Mary Jane being born in KY. Any connection or knowledge to any of these SW OH families will be greatly appreciated. We have, and are willing to share complete info of the descendants of ISAIAH OWEN/MARY JANE MURRY.
