Subject: [OHBROWN] Shick, David & Peter/SHROUFE marriages 1840-50

I have a David SHICK who married 3 times - (1) Julianna FISCUS (2) Ruth
Selvedge, (3) Mary MC GOWAN. In 1850 Brown CO, census, I find an ELizabeth
SHROUFE, b. 1828 living with the family; David's wife is Mary (McGowan).
David's brother Peter had 2 sons who married SHROUFE's: Joab married
Catharine SHROUFE and Peter Woodruff married Margaret Ann SHROUFE. I have
determined that Catharine and Margaret Ann are sisters, as is the Elizabeth
living with David in 1850. All are daughters of Nicholas SHROUFE and wife
Catharine MC GOWAN or MC GOVERN.
Is anyone working on the SHROUFE family, and can they tell me why
Elizabeth is living with David in 1850? Any further info would be appreciated.
