Aug,1804 a Methodist church that became known as Clover [Goshen 1st?]
was formed 1\2 way between Williamsburg and Bethel,Clermont Co,Oh and
less than 2 miles west of what became later,Pike twnsp,Brown Co,Oh
[formed 1818]
Located between the lands of Wm Winters,of Mordachi,and Peter Light,of
John,it's 1804 trustees were:
1- Clermont Co,Oh commisioner and blacksmith,Amos Smith;
2-Jousha Lambert,b England,1746 and fifer in British Army,who bought land
the same day as
3-Samuel Nelson,of William and whose wife,Esther,was dau of
4-Samuel Nutt, who,1794,in e Cincinnati's forts was with T.NUTTS and
Shipman,hubbs
5-William Smith m to Peter Light's dau,
6-Moses Rumrey,of Maine and Yankeetown,Oh,
7-Ephriam Duke,
8-Augustus Clark [my wife's? ]
9-Thomas Lemon [LIMING of Clark twnsp,Brown Co
Also John Anderson,Jeremiah and Absalom Day,trout's,Earhart's
