My husband's aunt is 89 and called yesterday to beg me to help her find the
proof of parentage of Samuel Neel b. 7 Mar 1786 in PA. Samuel was married
to Mary Jan Oursler b. 1792 in Aberdeen, Ohio. where they were also married
4 Aug 1807.

Samuel was the son of John Neel Jr. b. about 1766 (as a 20 year gap and an
educated guess) and Mary Polly whom he married in Spotsylvania, VA.

John Neel Jr. was the son of John Neel Sr.b. about 1746, who is supposed to
be from Scotland and reportedly died in Sportsylvania, Ohio.

I checked the 1790 census for all four counties in PA at the time and found
2 John Neel s in Bucks County, PA. None in the other counties. So I imagine
they are the ones. Then I think they moved to Brown County, PA.

Please help me to help my husband's aunt. Do you have any ideas where I
can research to find John Neel and his children. Any lookups would be
greatly appreciated. Any time or consideration given to this request is
greatly appreciated.
