Herm,

Don't know which Srofe/Shrofe you were searching, but the name if also
spelled Sroufe. That was the spelling of my family's ancestors there in Brown
County. My great-grandmother was Melvina Sroufe who married Sylvanus Wilder, both
residents of Sardinia. Melvina was a daughter of Samuel, also a resident of
or near Sardinia. I believe they were really from the White Oak Creek area.

I have a lot of Sroufe info and am willing to help, if I can.
