I am researching African American/mixed-race SROUFEs from Brown Co. and Mason
Co., KY.

One of the grandchildren of my gggrandfather, MOSES BERRY, GRACE BERRY,
married EMERY SROUFE of Brown Co.

Emery and Grace Sroufe lived in Georgetown, Ohio, and were the parents of
ALINE (now deceased) and CARL, who still lives in Georgetown.

Family researchers have discovered that Emery was the descendant of a black
woman and a (German???? is this the origin of the Sroufe surname?) immigrant
and overseer who lived in Mason Co.

Do any Brown Co. researchers have info to share on these Sroufes? I will have
to get more info from my cousin as to the name of Emery's parents and the
other info they have.
