I'm curious about the information below
about Thomas Shelton JP, my gggrandparents were supposedly married in
Ky, How ever I have found nothing to show they ever left Brown county.
Would like to find or know if Jacob BURRIS son of Johnathan Burris born
in VA. about 1801 and Married Nancy (Uknown) in 1823 in KY could be one
of the couples married by Thomas Shelton JP.??? Census records and Brown
county History for Eagle Twp show my decendents having been in the
county as early as 1810.
Any information for:
Jacob BURRIS and Nancy?? or Johnathan and Elizabeth BURRIS born about
1779 in VA?? Is greatly appreciated.

Diane (BURRIS) Neal

Massie Beasley,JP's quote that he would record all his marriages at
Georgetown, Brown
Co.Oh. My understanding is that he did not, and his marriage records
were lost ,while
Pat Manning Donaldson Mills found many of Thomas Shelton,JP's marriage
records,
and put them in the Mason Co,Ky Historical Society library,Sutton
Street,Maysville, Ky.
[Maysville is just across the Ohio from Aberdeen,Ohio, where Thomas
Shelton,JP and
Massie Beasley,JP MARRIED SO MANY YOUNG COUPLES.
