OBITUARY

Departed this life, at the residence of WILLIAM LIGGETT Esqr. in Byrd township,
near Decatur in this county, on Friday morning, the 19th instant, WILLIAM LIGGETT, senr.
in the 88th year of his age. The deceased has lived a long and useful life; has been a devoted
Christian, and has left numerous connexions, for a better and brighter world.

DIED--On Friday night, the 5th instant, JAMES, only son of ROBERT MORROW, of this
county, --aged 13 years, lacking five days. A father, mother, and only sister are left to mourn
their irreparable loss.

"Mysterious and from human sight,
Are hid the ways of God to men;
And yet our Judge can but do right,
Tho' veiled his course from human ken;
'Tis ours to bow and kiss the rod,
Be still and know that he is God!

"See where that youth in beauty's bloom,
Falls under Death's resistless sway;
Turn from his friends, laid in the tomb,
Hurried from time and earth away;
But hark! a voice says, 'peace be still,
Submit, for 'tis Jehovah's will.' "
