Who was your greatgrandmother that was b. in Woods. I assume this is probably
Woods Station. My great grandfather Elmer Alexander Strunks s/o Jonas
Alexander Strunks and Mary McCoy was b. there in 1873/1875. It was a very
small community. I have never heard of Cumberland but that doesn't mean it
doesn't or didn't exist. I am searching for the parents of Mary McCoy. She
was b. 1847 in OH, m. Jonas Alexander Strunks in 1873 in Butler Co. by S.M.C.
Anderson (Does anyone know the denomination of this minister?). Mary McCoy
was living in the household of James & Sarah Fye in the 1870 census of Butler
Co., OH. It is possible that James and Sarah are Mary's parents as I have
seen at least one record where Mary (McCoy) Strunks maiden name was listed as
Mary Fye. Mary (McCoy) Strunks d. in 1883 and was buried in the Old Oxford
Cemetery. Any info on her parents would be appreciated.
