Sharon, do you suppose Samuel Doty and Daniel Samuel Doty were the same man
--- do you think he came to Butler Co in 1797 with the other NJ soldiers that
came there to serve at Fort Hamilton?

<< have Samuel Doty born 28 June 1765 in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, marrying
Mary Brown on 19 dec 1781 in New York. He is listed on the tax roll in
Liberty Township, Butler County, Ohio in 1820 and his death came sometime
before 2 March 1829--also in Butler County.

I do not have anything else on him.
