One of the neat things about the internet is being able to do on-line what
once could only be done with "snail mail" or trips to a library or cemetery.

You are welcome to use the web page I set up for mostly free surname searches
at:
http://www.minimeta.net/inter-gen2.html

It includes the use of Ancestry.com, Rootsweb, and many other sites for
searching or browsing. My emphasis remains on sites that let you search,
since browsing takes a lot more time with lots fewer results.

This is not to take away from the service the Records Center does for us.
And I know that information on-line is not always accurate. But more and
more people are adding their family tree information to be searchable, now
that "MyFamily" let you do if for free (verses buying a GEDCOM program). And
if you find someone researching the line you need, you can get either their
email or home address to make further contact.

Kind of fun, being a genealogy detective... And the state of Ohio offers
some really good searches free and on-line (like the 1913-1937 Death
Certificates, licensed physicians, etc.)
