Since everyone seems to be focusing on Venice this weekend, I thought that I
would post my "dead ends" in hopes that someone else might be searching the
same lines.
My Venice, Butler Co. connections are WOOLEY/WOOLLEY, TIMBERMAN, EVANS. I
am searching, in particular for any information on the following folks:
Job(e) WOOLLEY b. 9/28/1797, m. Elizabeth HOOD 9/20/1821. Any information on
his or her parentage. Job was a tavernkeeper according to census records.
Eunice Timberman b. 1834, m. William Henry Woolley 1/3/1859. Looking for
information regarding her father Henry Timberman, and his parents. Eunice
and William are buried in the Venice cemetary along with many other
Timberman's, but I have been unable to make a connection between them. Also,
there is question regarding Eunice's marriages. She had two children,
Barbara and James Timberman, prior to her marriage to William, but it is
believed that she was a Timberman by birth.
Mabel Evans, b. 12/4/1886 (Hamilton OH)m. Charles Wooley 11/2/1905. Seeking
information regarding her parents: William Henry Harrison Evans. These
Evans are a complete mystery. Mabel had a sister named Nell, and an Aunt
named Rebecca Evans Huffman. They grew up in Hamilton. Anyone know anything
about William Henry Harrison EVANS?
Any info anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated. I made a trip to
the Venice Cemetery very recently and it is large and has an old section
with lots of well kept stones. I located over a dozen ancestors there. A
bonus: it's a beautiful drive from Indianapolis to Ross! I also sent in my
application to become a member of the SWButler Co.Society and have ordered
some publications regarding local cemeteries, marriages etc. Looking forward
to getting my hands on them!
Warmest regards,
Gina Abney
