I have an ancestor buried in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. I wonder if this is
same as the church. Have you run across the name Blackford in your
collections?
Related lines of Blackfords were Buckles who were active in establishing
Middle Run Baptist Church in Greene Co. Ohio. Blackfords were members of
the Scotch Plains Baptist Church back in Nj. They migrated to Ohio before
1800. John Blackford m. Elizabeth Buckles in Warren Co. Ohio in 1804. John
died in Butler Co. 1850 his father Jeremiah Blackford died in Preble Co. in
1825, I do know one of them is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery, but alas cannot
recall which one.
