Hello again,
I am still trying to find out about Michael Reeb of Darrtown,Milford Twp
,Butler Co,OH. The 1900 census says he was born Dec 1820 . He came to the
states in 1850/51 as well as Matilde Suese Laurenz Reeb. She was born
Oct.1844. The 1860 census says that he lived in Darrtown with his first wife
Catharine Becker and his infant son Frank. Catharine and Michael were
married in Butler Co.in 1859. I can find no marriage record of Matilde and
Michael. I am waiting to get a copy of her death record from Ohio Historical
in Columbus.
I can not find exactly where they are buried or a records on them. By word of
mouth they were to have been buried in Darrtown Cemetary. His first wife and
son are buried there. Supposedly a Mike Reebe bought burial plots in the old
Darrtown Cemetary in Dec.1905. The problem is he died in Dec.1904. I guess
maybe his wife bought them .
Where are these records kept about the deaths?
Does anybody know if there was a Lutheran Church in Darrtown in 1860-1904?
Is there a book written about Darrtown?
Was there ever a fire at the County Court House or whereever they kept
birthrecords for those born in 1905. My mother never could get a copy of her
birth certificate because she was told it was destroyed by fire.
Where can naturalization papers be found?
I would really llike to solve the mystery of Michael Reeb.
Joyce
