To order death records from the Butler County Records Center, you do need to
know the approximate date of death as there is no general index. Also,
their death records do not start until 1867 and they end in 1908. Death
records before 1867 were not kept and after 1908 death records were taken
over by the state.

There is about a 6 to 8 week wait for request as the majority of the
requests are done by volunteers.
