Hi,
This went to the wrong address so I'm forwarding it. When posting to

When I visited the two Jacksonburg Cemeteries in 1998 while on vacation, I
needed to literally do some digging in order to find, for instance, the
broken-off gravestone of Lydia BAIRD CRAIG in the city's cemetery. Time
did not permit me to remove it from the ground completely and to set it up
by a nearby tree like I did with her husband John's, but I was able to
remove enough of the earth to take a photo and graphite rubbing of her
tombstone inscription.
Then going to the cemetery behind what is now the United Brethren Church, I
spent considerable time looking for my THOMAS ancestors' gravestones. I
suspect that William Boyd THOMAS was buried (after 1882) somewhere in that
cemetery, but I have been unable since then to find any records regarding
when he died and where he was buried. Any suggestions or assistance would
be appreciated. Is there someone I could contact at the church who might
be able to point me in the right direction? I'm open to any suggestions.
Rich SAUM
