Subject: [OHBUTLER-L] JUSTICE OF THE PEACE

In A History and Biographical Cyclopaedia of Butler County, Ohio(Pgs 562-574 discussing Milford Township) mention is made of a John White being Justice of the Peace
in 1815 and again in 1818. Does anyone know how to collect any further information on the Justice of Peace process at that time? Will the appointment appear in the court records in Hamilton? I would also like to hear from anyone who might be following this particular chain of White's. He was married(Hannah McDonald or McDaniels) in Butler County in 1810, but by 1820 had moved to Franklin County, Indiana. For the 10 year(at least) period in Butler County we have been unable to locate any evidence of land ownership so he may have been living with family. Any help would be appreciated.
