David,
Bear in mind that in the early Ohio/Indiana days part of present day Indiana
was in Ohio.
This included part of Union and Franklin and others. Maybe the land records
are in Indiana.

1820 had moved to Franklin County, Indiana. For the 10 year(at least) period
in Butler County we have been unable to locate any evidence of land
ownership so he may have been living with family. Any help would be
appreciated.
