Peter and Rachel Van Cleave Banta came up from Kentucky and they are buried
in Christian Church Yard, Turtle Creek twp, Warren Co, Ohio. Their son,
Albert Banta married Mary Voorhees. Their son, Jacob Banta married Jane
Shields on January 21, 1830 in Preble County. Their daughter, Mary Banta
married Emsley Henderson ca 1850 in Darke Co. Their daughter, Catherine
Jane Henderson (named for her two grandmothers - Catherine Sulgrove
Henderson and Jane Shields Banta) married Ephraim Noggle in 1869 in Darke
County.
