There are two books jointly written by George C. Crout and Roger L. Miller
about the Middletown area. They are picture books with several lines of text
for each picture as well as a written introduction to each chapter. They
are: Middletown Ohio-Arcadia Publishing, Charlestown, SC, 1998 and
Middletown the Steel City-Arcadia Publishing, Chicago,IL, 2000. George Crout
has written many books, etc., about this area.
No, I have never talked to the Journal about my own web site. At this time I
am not certain that I could keep up a site of my own and I do not know what
if anything they would say about my reproducing what is really their
material although I do not think they would say much.
