Just as an aside.....there were Clawsons and Teetors around Shandon, Okeana,
and New Haven when I was growing up. Bob and Oleata Teetor lived in Morgan
Township. Mrs Percy Teetor lived first between Shandon and Venice (Ross),
on the farm that was bought out and used by the Atomic Energy Commission
around 1950-51, then, I think she moved into Shandon. There was a Clawson
farm on Morgan-Ross Road, right outside of Shandon. I don't remember the
first names, but they all attended the Congregational Church at
Shandon......maybe Myron Clawson??? The old folks died off in the 50's, and
eventually, the daughter died a spinster at Shandon. There were also
Clawsons around New Haven/Harrison, down in Hamilton County, if I remember
correctly, just a few miles southwest of Shandon. John Francis will know if
they are buried at Shandon, at New London Cemetery. I'm talking like it was
yesterday, but these people lived out there fifty years ago. You would
think I was getting long in the tooth. Just talked to Mary Anne Weikel
yesterday....as perky as always.
