It's going to be a while before I can get to Carrollton (although I hope to
make a trip one of these days), but I don't want to wait to obtain copies of
land/deed records for my ggg-grandfather, Robert B. GEORGE, and
gg-grandfather, Hamilton W. GEORGE, both of Lee Twp. Robert B. probably
purchased land between 1820 -1840 and Hamilton purchased his ca. 1860.

I haven't requested this type of info before. Can I: get these copies through
the courthouse with just the above info?; ask the Carroll County Gen. Soc. to
make copies?; or do I need to hire a researcher in the area? Cost? (I tried
to check the OH GenWeb site to see if I could find answers, but for some
reason that URL "freezes" my PC up.)

Any help will be appreciated.
