Working hard on my Ferguson Family I found a tombstone listed in the
Scroggsfield Cemetery for Elizabeth Ball, d. March 13, 1850; ae 17y, 11m,
13d.

I found in the Carroll Co. marriage microfilm a marriage for Elizabeth
Ferguson and John Ball on October 2, 1850. Or did I copy it wrong and should
it be February 10, 1850??? I didn't find her on the 1850 census.

Can anyone tell me about her husband John Ball? His parents or who he later
married? I'm sure there must be a family story about this short marriage
somewhere.

Any way, she must have died just after she was married. Her parents were
Stephen and Matilda Downey Ferguson.
