She puts the shaving cream on the stone to make the words on the stone
easier to read. This is a NO NO! The shaving cream contains chemicals
which helps to further degrade the older stones. It is much better to take
a rubbing using paper and charcoal. I wonder if she used water and rinsed
the stone off after reading it?
