I'm looking for any information on the family of John Mattox (b. 1822) and
his wife Mahala Orahood (1826--1914). They were married in Union County in
1844 but lived in Champaign County.
Their children were: Amanda M. Mattox, Cyrus M. Mattox, Ellen Mattox, Sarah
E. Mattox, Franklin Mattox, Alice Mattox, and Ida M. Mattox.
I know they show up in the 1870 and 1880 census.
