Tammy,
My heart almost jumped out of my body when I say 'my' names on the net.
I have begun to think they are all under a rock and not planning on
coming out.
My Conley's and Shinns where in the Batavia area of Clermont County,
Ohio in the mid 1800's about 1820 to 1838. I have a William Conley, son
of James Conley who died near Batavia about 1829. He was born in
Ireland as far as I know about 1797, came to US early 1800, married
Katherine McIntire about 1817 in New Brunswick, NJ. James and Katherine
had four children, two who died in 1834 in or near Batavia. William
Conley born in NJ about 1820 and Katherine Conley born in OH about 1826.
Katherine, her father-in-law, a son James (born 1818) and a daughter
Barbara left Ohio and went to New Salem, Pike County, IL about 1840.
James Conley (born 1818) married Abigail Elizabeth Shinn in 1838.
Abigail was the daughter of Joab E and Nancy English Shinn. The Shinn
family also moved to Illinois.
I am interested in the death informaiton in Ohio of the Conley famuly.
Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
Dorothy
