All to often I see the above book used as a source 'without giving the JP
or minister's name who preformed the ceremony, and that is a major clue.
Page 120-121 of Evert's 1880 "History of Clermont" gives the JP,and
township.
I use the 2 books together constanly,to determine the township where the
wedding occurred. It's a bit harder with weddings preformed by ministers.

My 1st sources for ministers is the church sections,of the township
histories,
in Evert's 1880 'Clermont" and Beer's "Brown Co" . [For wedding in the
west 2\3 of
present Brown Co were recorded in Clermont, and the east 1\3,in Adams Co.
At least. John Lindsey,JP,and Rev John Dunlevy, recorded mid-Brown Co
marriages in
either county.
Methodist circut riders are tough, because they served many
churches,and moved
each year. And I don't think they trobled themselves,at times,to record
weddings.
Clermont Co has good record, but the 1808-11 ledger is long missing. And
that is
a period when western Brown Co recoded there. And all of our counties
bordered
Ky countiesof Bracken,Campbell,Pendleton, and the most peopled,Mason
Co,Ky.
Clermont Co, and western 2\3 of Brown Co has it's 1802 census
available.
Likely the 1802 for Adams,and e Brown is available,at Mansfield,or
COLUMBUS.
1802 Pleasant township,Clermont Co, was from White Oak Creek east to
Adams Co.
White Oak is,roughly,Higginsport,Georgetown,New Hope,and Moreystown.
Adams Co line is east of RIPLEY,RED OAK,ARNHEIM.
union,pleasanbt,franklin,washington,Scott,Green
1802 Washington is White Oak,or Higginsport west to Big Indian Creek
at Pt Pleasant, and as far north as the drains of the creeks entering the
Ohio River.
Lewis twnsp, and then Brown Co,1818 and Franklin twnsp were cut from
western
Washington Twnsp.
1802 Williamsburg was north of those creeks draining the Ohio, and east to
White
Oak [e Mt Orab and New Hope, and included Bethel to Sugartee Creek.,and
as far north as RT 50
1802 Ohio was ne to Sugartree, and with the East Fork past Batavia,to s
Milford.
and bonded west by Anderson township,Hamilton Co,NW Territory. Union, and
part of Batavia, and Monroe and PIERCE township were cut from

1802 Miami,OR O'BANNON, was the nw most. Bounded by The east fork, and
the Little,Miami, and Warren Co -Goshen and Stonelick from it.
Was Wayne,in the n e original ? RT 50,AND Warren Co,and Miami.
Big Perry township of all, modern Brown Co,was cut,1814 from Clermont.
Tate was cut,1805,from s Williamsburg, and Clark twnsp from it's east.
