I have my grandmother's history, written and pasted in the 1920's,open to
John Dunn's obit, plus a handwritten paragraph.Ruhama Ely Brown, grand dau
of
Ruhama Blackman m 1824 Savil Justice, and lived here, and must have
adjoined
[nearly?] in the 1850's the cabin of Jon Dunn, bJan 1st,1819 -Dec
28,1900,who
married March 16,1848,Sarah Ann HEANY[?] .cOUNTY MONIGHAN WAS HIS
BIRTH,BUT
he worked in his uncle's drug store in Coose Hill,County Caven .May
1st,1848 they
sailed.and would float by canal most of the way from New York City,to
Cincinnati.
.After a couple, they would move one field east of south Bantam
station,and he would
work in Benj Ely's store in Bantam.Benj Ely's parents,Samuel and Rachel
Leeds
Ely,m 1804 at Port Republic ,NJ where James Blackman left,1815,and Sarah
Blackman Collins left,1803. [I make his 1850-59 cabin as between the
Jegley
farm and South Bantam ststion,on the C,G,+P RR,on Moore Rd. Clermont
Co,Oh.
Anyway,1859, John Dunn and family moved from near Ruhama Blackman Justice
to
a mile south of Nicholsville, where,if he continued small town store
clerking, John
Dunn would have worked for Wesley and Mary Blackman McClain.
His dau,Martha Dunn, and my grandmother,Ruhama Ely [Brown] taught together

years in Bethel -Tate,Oh schools.
>From Welsh mountians,Ireland can be seen. I wonder if Wales also had the
potato
disease that caused the 1848 Irish potato famine?
