Could someone please help me in my research on WILLIAM COX b.abt.1811
He was married to Nancy Ann OWENS 6-18-1836 in Mason Co.,KY
Nancy Ann was b.6-21-1813 KY d.6-18-1894 in Adams Co.,OH

"William Cox was a school teacher in a log cabin along the Ohio River
near New Richmond and was scalped by Indians. d.abt.1846/47"

There is a William Cox listed on the 1840 Clermont Co. CENSUS
Goshen Twp pg.259. Can anyone please do a look-up for me?

William Cox and Nancy Ann Owens children:
Catherine b.abt.1835 PA
W.J. b.abt.1837 OH (might be William James Cox)
Freelove b.6-28-1840 OH
Albert b.abt.1843 OH
Matilda b.abt.1846 OH

This is all the info I have on William Cox.
Nancy Ann Owens remarried after William died-
to Samuel BENNINGTON abt.1847
(I had heard Samuel adopted William`s children)
Freelove married Joseph CHAIN 6-22-1862 in Adams Co.,OH
(Freelove is my direct line, is said to be cousin to
JAMES MIDDLETON COX-Gov.of OH, ran for president with F.D.R. in 1920,
I can`t find the connection....wish I could)
(I have more info on Freelove)
Catherine perhaps married Frederick CREAMER 1-7-1858
(this Catherine is listed as RODERICK, been told it is Catherine Cox)
Please, if you find anything I would so greatly appreciate it.
Thank You, Sue
