Feb 17 1838 in Warren Co Lydia Bowman married William Marchant. Warren Co Marriage Consents list her as d/o Abraham Bowman.

William & Lydia resided Mason Warren Co. 1850 census lists them as follows:
house 734 family 735
William Marchant age 46 b. VA Occ: laborer
Lydia age 26 b. OH
Isaac age 12
M E age 10 (female)
Robert age 7
Ann age 6
James age 4

Oct 1 1855 in Warren Co. Lydia "Marchant" married Isaac Sickles. Oct 5 1855 issue of the Western Star:
"On the 1st at Lebanon House by J D Blackburn. Mr. Isaac Sickles of CLERMONT Co. to Miss (sic) Lydia Marchant of Warren"

Oct 6 1859 Lydia "Sickles" married Jacob Hill in Warren Co.

1860 Census Goshen Clermont Co:
house 674 family 714
Jacob Hill age 49 b. VA Occ: farmer
Lydia Hill age 41 b. OH
Elijah Hill age 14 b. OH
Tabitha age 12 b. OH
Sirenu Hill age 6 b. OH
Elias Sickles age 3 b. OH

A few doors away with Samuel Fox & family resides Lydia's son James from first marriage age 14. The other Marchant children are scattered around Warren & Clermont Co's.

Even though there is a 15 yr difference in Lydia's reported age between 1850 & 1860 it appears they are one & the same.

Jacob Hill married 1st Nancy Thompson in Warren Co on Jan 10 1831.She died Apr 25 1859 & is buried in the Carson Keller Cemetery (also called Hill cemetery in the Warren Co book).

In 1850 they resided Salem wp Warren Co OH:
house 1766 family 1767
Jacob Hill age 39 b. VA Occ: farmer
Nancy age 37 b. OH
James age 17
Clarissa age 14 Sarah age 12
Mary age 10
Samuel age 8
Eliza age 5 (male)
Tabitha age 2

Son Samuel d. 26 aug 1852 age 9y 9m 20dy, dau Sarah d. 23 Aug 1856 age 18 y 4 m 26 d and are also buried Carson Keller Cemetery.

I "suspect" (meaning unconfirmed) that Jacob was a son of Abraham Hill & wife Sarah whose first marriage was to a Chessor.

On May 15 1847 in Hamilton Co an Isaac Sickles married Jane Borum (sic). Jane was widow of Jesse Boram who died Oct 1845. They married ca 1815 probably in Hamilton Co. She was b. 1790-1800 per 1830 & 1840 census in Symmes Twp., Hamilton Co OH.
This was reportedly Isaac's 2nd marriage. He married 1st a Dinah previous to 1829 in Somerset Co NJ. 1830 he is found in Somerset, 1840 in Colerain Twp., Hamilton Co. OH. Per 1830 & 1840 census he was born 1800-1810.

Isaac & Jane cannot be located in any 1850 census (even with ancestry's wild cards to search with) nor Jane's youngest child Frederick Boorom who would then have been 11. The other Booram/Boorom children were then married, 2 families located in Logan Co., OH, son Adam Boorom in Symmes Twp. Hamilton Co. OH, dau. Rebecca & husband Henry Hill cannot be located either, but 1860 they are in Symmes Twp. Hamilton Co. and the youngest dau Harriet married 1847 to Jacob Long also cannot be located, however both a Jacob & Harriet Long of the right age are listed in the mortality schedules as dying of cholera.

Both Isaac & Jane were still living in 1850 as in 1853 a letter written from Jane's son-in-law Caleb Hill & his 2nd wife Nancy from Logan Co addressed to Isaac & Jane sickles in Butlerville Warren Co OH is in my possession.

Son Frederick Boorom found twice in 1860 census (to make up for missing him in 1850?) at his sister Nancy & spouse Napthalia Constable (1850 were in Logan) and also as a laborer in the household of a Thomas Thoville a few doors from his sister Rebecca & Henry Hill and next to his future wife's uncle Henry Fitzwater in Symmes Twp. Hamilton Co.

My question: is there any information on Isaac Sickles, and perhaps Jane Sickles in Clermont Co. Am wondering if the Isaac who married Lydia in 1855, then of Clermont Co is the same Isaac who married my Jane.

Also welcome information on any of the above families.
