There are published marriage records for Clermont Co,Oh for 1800-1850
[minus a missing ledger covering 1808-11]. And a 2nd for 1850-75. Plus
the
courthouse should have 1875-80.
The 1800-1850 marriage book includes many marriages 1800-17 for the
western
2\3 of present Brown Co,Ohio.
I have many gaps in my own families marriage records of people who both
lived within
Clermont Co. I think some went to Cincinnati to marry, but Cincinnati and
Hamilton Co,Ohio
had 3 courthouse fires. One young couple, who both lived in
Cincinnati,crossed the Ohio
River to Campbell Co,Ky to marry.
S E [southeast] Brown Co,Ohio had 2 'marrying" JP'S,Thomas Shelton
followed by Massie Beasley,JP. sHELTON'S MARRIAGES mostly survive, while
Beasley's were
lost.
