On the subject of BROWN people from NJ:
Would anyone know of a Scharlet Brown, also seen as Charlott, probably born
near Blairstown, NJ which is about 10 miles from the Deleware river across
from Scranton, PA.

Scharlot was born about 1835 and married to William LANCE. Thte date of
marriage, by estimatation of the first known child, would have been about
1851 or early 1852,

Scharlot died between the summer of 1866 and the NJ Fedearal Census of 1870,
leaving six children and a widower who appears never to have remarried.
