As best I can tell, this is the same Baptist Rev Smith, and Nathanial
Bonser,and
Joseph Woodmansee and Sarah Bonser Woodmansee are buried in the deserted
cemetary of [Mt] Olive Dunkard [German Baptist] and Rev David Smith's
son-in-law
Hiram Lockwood is listed as a founding member ,in 1839,of the Campbellite
Christian
church of Mt Pleasant, that many [all?] of the Olive Congregation joined.
That was not
unusual at that time-for a Baptist church to become Christian. Church of
Christ is another name
for that religion. I see an 1812 Peter Gray tombstone in Olive cemetary,
and then
1825-35 are years I have Rev David Smith preforming marriages there.
1822-23 are the
stones of the Nathanial Bonsers, and 1849 for Elizabeth,of Jacob Trisler.
I'm not seeing a Smith tombstone in Olive, nor Mt Pleasant churchyard.
I've been assuming that if
Rev David Smith died here, his stone was in the destroyed cemetary of
Indian Creek Baptist.
The Bonsers, and Woodmansee farms were on the Ohio River hill overlooking
Bullskin Creek,
and Bracken Co,Ky.
Carl Ely, I see Rev David Smith ministering at churches where the Locust
Ridge Nursing Home
is,and at Rt 222 and n fork of Indian,plus s e of Felicity 3 miles.At one
time.
Where did the Hammer-Bonser-Woodmansee's live before very s e Clermont
Co?
Clermont Co has had multiple county commisioners from the Olive church
Housers and Croswells
