Eben L Hancock lived on Bethel-New Richmond Rd next to the Hill
family,and 4 miles east
of Bethel,in western Tate township.
who named their son,Eben C Hill. Bethel's elementary school is named
for long time teacher,Eben C Hill. .Lowell Hancock [1900-1971]went to
Ohio State University's
College of Agriculture,and belonged to my Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity. He
then raised
special fox for fur coats.
Merle Hancock [1897-aged] m Homer Johnson,of Jackson township 6 miles
north of Williamsburg,Ohio.
Among their many [teens] children were the Johnson twins,who sang on WLW
radio. 1 twin
m Chet Adkins,and the other,Homer,or the former 'Homer and Jethro
'country music comedy team.
Homer Johnson was 1\2 first cousin of my wife's grandfather,James Allen
Ashton,who was named for
Allen Johnson,father of Homer.
I'll take a guess,and say Eben Hancock was decended from Whittington B
Hancock, who preached at
Lindale Baptist,and 10 Mile Creek Baptist churches of sw Clermont Co.
1891 atlas Eben Hancock's farm was abt 46 acres.and adjoined John
F.Hill's
128 acres. 2nd farm west of Eben Hancock's was John Hancock's 41 acres.
When I look at the Pierce townsp page just south of Amelia village, I
see Eben Behymer [?]
Eugene Hancock 81 acres, and Elisha J Hancock, 74 acres.That was in Ohio
township until after the
1850 census. Harriet Hancock 71 acres. and west a mile E.Hancock, 60
acres. Col Rd cuts Elisha B.
hANCOCK'S. Catholic elementary,St Bernadette's on Harriet Hancock's si
nce about 1943.
Mike Hancock's a local builder. He's divorced from a Franke lady,whose
father and sister's
Dairy Bar just closed after 45 years east of Amelia. Mike's grandfather
Hancock,went to Bantam
Presbyterian with me my 1st 10 years. He lived at Rt 125 and Back Run
[Ohio 222 north-about]
Samuel Oliver Wilson,d 1910 Bethel,and Frances Beckelheimer Wilson b
1883,of Aaron
Their Anna M Wilson [1865-1956] m Ebon Hancock.
