We have a pre-daguareotype of Bethel's Rev Moses Warden,who died in 1849.
1839 is abut the beginning. Before that, there were cave drawings.[Ha!]
I think Dr Andrew Fitch McCall,Sr was earliest taking photos.
1819 was the sale to the Methodists of Indian Creek Meeting House's land,
aka Calvery. S side of Rt 756,east of Rt 543 a mile. Had been Wm [d
1805]
and Jane Abraham Buchanan's farm since 1795-96.She remarried Absalo,of
John Wood, who died in 1825. The Buchanan's had 2-3 burials there
1800-05.
North of Rt 756 is the later cemetary and brick Calvery to some
denominstion church.
Total is several acres of cemetary in a rural location now becoming the
area of coal
ash burial from Zimmer coal fired power plant. Zimmer was 1\2 built,as a
nuke,
until Three Mile I sland Nuke Plant Accident near Harrisburg,Pa in the
early 1970's.
