JB,

Most (not all) of the Rardins moved from Clermont Co. to places in IN.
There were some who remained across the river in Campbell Co., KY. My sources
also have that Margaret Mitchell and John Rardin were married in Franklin Co.,
IN. John died Nov. 29, 1836. Perhaps Margaret was originally from Clermont
Co., still had family there, and moved back after his death.

My information (I've not verified it) has that John Rardin and Margaret
Mitchell had 5 children:
---Emmeline Rardin, married Abraham Bayless
---Greenup M. Rardin, b. 1818, Cole Co., IL; m. Catharine Voorhees, 1848,
Franklin Co., IN
---Theodore Rardin, b. Dec. 27, 1827; m. Margaret Patterson; served as Union
soldier
---James Rardin, b. June 27, 1829, Franklin Co., IN
---John Mitchell Rardin, b. Nov. 8, 1834; d. April 28, 1892; m. Margaret Seal
, 1860, St. Genevieve, MO

My research has unearthed tha Margaret Mitchell married John Rardin in
Indiana before coming to Clermont Co., Ohio. However, I have been unlucky in
identifying the 2 sons that are mentioned in the autobiography.

Do you have any information regarding John Rardin and Margaret Mitchell?
