As a new member of the Columbiana List, I would like to hear from anyone
with an interest in the family of Barnhardt or Barnerd BOATMAN(or
BOTHMANN)and his wife Catherine OVERPECK(or OBERBECK). They married in
Bucks Co., PA after the Revolution. He was a soldier in the Revolution.
They moved to Unity Twp., Columbiana Co., Ohio in the early 1800's. It
is believed that they had at least eleven children, ten of whom married
and had families of their own.

2. Henry(b 18 Jan 1786 - d 6 Sept 1860 in Eaton Co., MI) mar
Elizabeth GOSS (b 20 Nov 1787 - d 29 May 1873) had 13 children
3. Elizabeth(b 18 Nov 1788 - d 8 Mar 1865 in Crawford Co., OH) mar
on 19 Dec 1805 in Bucks Co., PA to Patrick McINTIRE and had several
children.
4. Mary Ann(b 2 Feb 1793 - d 21 Jul 1851 in Unity Twp.) mar George
STEININGER on 26 Nov 1816 in Columbiana Co. Had at least two children.
5. John(b 9 Aug 1796 - d 20 May 1872 at Wayland, Clark Co., MO) mar
1st Mary GRATE on 23 Sep 1818 - mar 2nd Catherine PALMER? Children by
each.
6. Jacob(b 18 Jul 1802 - 14 Feb 1886 at E. Palestine) mar Catherine
CUMMINS had three daughters.
7. Rachel(b 10 Sep 1804 - d 2 Mar 1873 at Wayland, Clark Co., MO)
mar William GRATE on 3 Apr 1823 in Columbiana Co. Had several children.
8. Lydia(b 3 Jul 1807 - d 2 Dec 1896 in Columbiana Co.) mar Rev.
George GRATE. Had two children.
9. Barnard"Barney"(b 4 Mar 1810 - d 13 Apr 1887 in Gallia Co., OH)
Mar Eliza WARD(dau of Aaron and Catherine WARD who are buried in
Columbiana Co.). Had seven children.
10. Catherine Mary(b 1813? - d ??) mar John BABEL or BABLE. Had 7-8
children.
11. Isaac(b 1817? - 28 Oct 1885 at Zanesville, Muskingum Co., OH)
mar Mary A. JOSSELYN on 16 Nov 1843 at Zanesville. Had at least two
sons.
Willing to exchange data with "cousins."
