There is a long article in the OGS Report magazine Vol 28, Issue 4 on
the murders and trial. I no longer have access to this issue but as I
recall it was a reprint of the newspaper articles. The murder and trial
had caused quite a stir at the time and it was in the paper for days.

His wife's name was Susanna Flickinger. Minda Porter was one of the
daughters that was murdered, the other was Adelaide. The murders
happened December 12, 1872.

Descendants of Irwin Porter

1 Irwin Porter1836 -
+Susanna Flickinger1849 -
2 Minda E. Porter1869 - 1872
2 Adelaide Porter1871 - 1872
2 ? Porter1872 -

If I remember correctly, he did not live long after being sent to prison
but you need to read the article to verify this.

I don't know anything else about him but do have information on the
Flickinger line.

Let me know if you are interested in them.
