Obit

While doing volunteer data entry at our local library in Ontario,

California, I came across this obituary which might be of some interest to

someone on this list. This does not relate to any surname that I am

researching personally. Nancy

Only arrived in California
and Ontario five weeks ago to make her

home, Mrs. Delphia Louise Gregory, 46, wife of Miles H. Gregory, 1258 North

Euclid avenue, died at 5:05 a.m. today at San Antonion hospital after an

illness of three weeks.

A native of Wheeling, W.
Va., Mrs. Gregory and her husband moved

from Wheeling to Phoenix, Ariz., where they had lived for 20 months prior

to coming to Ontario. They were staying here with S. G. McClellan, 1258

North Euclid avenue, an uncle of Mr. Gregory. The Gregorys were members of

St. Mark's Lutheran church of Elm Grove, W. Va.

Mrs. Gregory is survived
by her husband; two sons, Miles John

Gregory of Elm Grove, W. Va., who now is serving with the armed forced in

the South Pacific, and Eugene William Gregory, who is employed at the Daily

Report; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Miles John Gregory of Elm Grove, W. Va.; a

sister, Mrs. Cecil Reinch, Avondale, Ariz.; four brothers, William, Earl,

and Harold Baker, all of Wheeling, W. Va., and Clyde Baker, Bellaire, O.;

and one granddaughter, Ann Gregory, of Elm Grove, W. Va.

Funeral services for Mrs.
Gregory will be held on Tuesday, June

[July] 11, 11 a.m. at Stone Mortuary, 239 West Ninth street, Upland, with

Rev. C. F. Pohlman, pastor of Ontario Lutheran church, officiating.

Entombment will be in Bellevue mauseoleum.
