The 1820 census of Salem, Ohio is listed as Jefferson Co, not present day Columbiana Co., OH.

My ancestor arrived in Salem, OH as of 1810 along with the first settlers there. My ancestor is James W. Leach b. 1802 Virginia or Maryland. He was not raised in his own family, but was raised by Joshua Wright on Lisbon Road.

I have found Joshua Wright listed in the Salem, Jefferson Co, OH census.
I am trying to study this man, in case he can shed light on the parents of James W. Leach.
