Subject: Lost Will of Levi Dickerson?

I recently wrote to the Coshocton County courthouse in an attempt to
obtain a copy of the 1842 will of Levi Dickerson. I have learned from
abstracts that it was dated April 12, 1842, was submitted for probate on
April 21, 1842, and was on page 317 of the probate book.

The answer I received stated that the only will of a Levi Dickerson they
could find was dated 1905 and was probated in 1916.

Does anyone know what may have happened to the 1842 will? Have some of
the courthouse records been lost since the abstracts were made? I would
appreciate any suggestions on where I might find a copy of the complete
will.
