There is what looks like a rather complete report on
Parcher/Kirkland relations in a book, ELIAS PARCHER AND SOME OF HIS
DESCENDANTS, by Elizabeth Parcher Walker pub. 1987. If someone hasn't
already sent it to you, let me know. I may be able to scan the pages
rather than having to retype them.

I am looking for the parents of Nancy Kirkland (1818-1904). She married
John Parcher Feb. 11, 1836. The next month March 4, 1836 John's widowed
mother, Roxavannah Briggs Parcher, married Robert Kirkland. Could
Nancy's mother-in-law become her stepmother?? John's sister Harriet
married a James Kirkland. So the Parcher & Kirkland families must have
been familiar with one another. If anyone has any info on either of
these two families, I'd love to make a connection...
