Subject: [OHCRAWFO] List Posting Format

Hi, Listers . . .
I, as many of you probably are, am on a lot of Mailing Lists for areas in
which I have continuing research. Because of that I can find myself reading
literally hundreds of postings each night. I truly appreciate the intent of
these forums and personally have benefited from information gleaned from
them. But . . . could we make it a little easier for each other to read?
It helps a lot if all SURNAMES in the posting are in caps so we can quickly
scan for interest. A carefully-worded descriptive Subject Line is good,
too. Another feature I've found of great assistance is a 1-2 line SURNAME
Recap placed at the beginning and/or end of a posting. Typically, those at
the beginning list the SURNAMES contained in the posting and those at the
end contain the SURNAMES the author is working on.
I know each of us is very busy and benefits from maximizing our time. I
personally want to aid as many fellow researchers as I can by sharing my
knowledge and work. These are just my thoughts on making it easier on us
all . . . your Comments? Suggestions?
