Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to let you know the January queries are
now online at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohcrawfo/
Something is wrong with the coding, but I don't know
how to fix it through the database program yet.
However they are readable as is until I find the
glitch & figure out how to fix it/them. Am open to
suggestions from anyone who knows how the CC Helper
Program works.

I "think" I have updated all the address changes that
have been reported to me, so if I have missed any,
please let me know.

I have also been working on the webpage that we have
at our work which might interest some of you. If you
want to take a look, go to:

marked "History".

I am hoping to get some more obituaries and bios etc
that have been contributed online ASAP, but am having
trouble keeping up with the lookups, queries, mail
bounces etc.

If anyone would like to help me out by volunteering to
do lookups for our listers, I would really appreciate
it. Just let me know your name, email address, and
which books you would be doing lookups from. I am
asking that those who want lookups done, PLEASE - No
more than one or two lookups at a time. Otherwise we
will be running into copyright problems. Volunteers,
please post the answers to the mailing list because it
will help those who haven't yet submitted a query and
it will let me know whether the questions are getting
answers. We want everyone who visits Crawford County
to get as much help as we can reasonably offer.

If you need a LOT of lookups or copies etc., PLEASE
consider buying our publications. We try to keep the
prices as low as possible and put the money received
from these books back into new books as we accumulate
enough funds so we can afford to pay for printing
them. Every year it gets more and more expensive to
put these books into print, so it is for a VERY good
cause.

If any of our CCGS members are out there who haven't
yet sent in their membership dues, PLEASE do so ASAP.
In 1999 our newsletter cost $3,841.49 to print but we
only took in $3,412.00 in memberships for 1999. You

We try to keep the dues as low as possible but our
budget doesn't allow for us to continually run in the
red. We could issue less pages, but then we couldn't
put in as many queries especially these from the
mailing list in addition to church, school, club,
records, township histories etc as we have been doing.
And I am sure we all benefit from Mary & Winnie's
dedication in making all these items available for our
members.

Well, I'll get off my soapbox now and see if I can get
some more obits etc. online and maybe even figure out
my HTML problems before long. Good Luck Everybody -
