We are asking each applicant to tell something about
themselves before enlistment, who their parents were,
brothers and sisters, where you grew up, went to
school, who you married, either before or after
service, and children (if applicable)

You may used ruled paper, or send the information,
typed is best, but we will also be happy to use hand
written applications, just be sure to make the work as
clear as possible

We are most interested in the military information you
can provide, where you enlisted, your training camp,
where did you serve, and interesting stories of your
service We hope in this way to preserve the stories
the veteran's have to tell us now, and help future
generations to understand the trials you endured in
the War period

We are interested in Camp Millard stories, too, so
anyone who could include information on that phase of
Crawford county military history, will be greatly
appreciated

We want veterans of all conflicts and wars, but there
must be some Crawford County connection. Either you
enlisted from this county, or you resided here at some
period of your lifetime We are seeking to preserve
Crawford County Veterans stories, since we wouldn't
have room for everyone who ever served in the
military. Perhaps you had a sibling, or parent, who
served too, if there isn't anyone to write their
story, please include it with your story

Pictures are wanted for this project in your military
uniform, if possible, since this will enhance the look
of our subject matter We will be faced with the
problem of cost in printing pictures in a publication,
but we hope to resolve the problem with a printer

We would appreciate a business size self addressed
stamped envelope (34 cents) so we may return a copy of
what we have written for you to sign and return that
we have entered all the story correctly prior to being
sent to the printers We will send the copy with a
deadline date to be returned, if we don't hear back,
we'll print the story as we sent to the applicant for
review

Photos will take a little while before they are
returned to prepare for the publication
