Here's a better bet: My 2nd great-grandfather was George Osner, b. Germany. Since the naming tradition in the family is for eldest sons to be named for their grandfather, his father was likely Heirich or Henry, and evidence suggests he was from Bavaria. His son George was b. 1822, so the time frame for a daughter that could be your Elizabeth is right. When the family came to this country early on, they were in the Cincinnati region.
