Not certain where the name Ada comes from. Based on Crawford County Marriage and Cemetery books, I find the following:

John Ast m. - Cath Teuscher. At least 3 children.

[1] Kathryn Ast born 1/6/1874 d. 10/7/1937 m. 3/5/1898 - Godfrey Von Kaenel b. 5/5/1871 d. 9/14/1937.

[2] John Ast b. 4/13/1879 d. 2/15/1952 m. 2/27/1908 - Cora Kath Steinhilber b. 4/13/1888 d. 7/22/1948. At least 3 children.

(1) infant daughter Ast born 12/25/1913 died 12/17/1913
(2) Glenn Edward Ast born 8/29/1920 d. 10/12/1985 m. - Reba Darlene Converse b. 3/23/1923 d. 9/8/1985.
(3) Edna Ast b. 2/22/1922 d. 2/22/1922

[3] Rosalie Ast b. 7/21/1882 d. 11/19/1984 m. 11/18/1903 - John J. Dinkel b. 11/1/1879 d. 9/30/1945

I can provide more background dates on parents of each of these families if you are interested.
